Global footwear manufacturer Changshin (CEO Choongil Nam) recently surpassed one billion pairs in cumulative footwear production, and took a meaningful step to reflect on the milestone with its employees and share it with the local community.
On the 21st, Changshin held an in-house event at its headquarters with current and former employees to celebrate reaching one billion pairs, reflect on its 44-year growth journey, and pledge a new leap toward the future.
That evening, at Sajik Baseball Stadium in Busan, more than 2,000 people, including Changshin employees and specially invited Busan citizens, watched a baseball game together, sharing and celebrating the significance of the one billion pair milestone. Changshin CEO Choongil Nam threw the ceremonial first pitch to personally convey his gratitude on site and add to the festive spirit.
Before the game, Changshin also held a social contribution agreement ceremony with the Lotte Giants to support promising young athletes in the Busan area. Through the “One Stolen Base = One Pair” donation campaign, the two companies will provide running shoes developed and produced by Changshin to promising youth athletes, matching the number of stolen bases Lotte records during the 2025 season.
Changshin CEO Choongil Nam said, “Surpassing one billion pairs was possible thanks to the passion and hard work of every Changshin employee, and the trust of our customers and the local community,” adding, “We will continue to grow together with the local community and move forward as a company that shares the value we have created together.”
